Growth chart for today: Petitchi > Kuribotchi

11:45 AM - Pull the tab!

As soon as I took the unit our of its package, I noticed that there was a rather obvious scuff/scratch/dent at the center of the screen. I wrote an mail (using their online form) to Bandai and let's wait for their reply on this.

A boy was hatched. I named him "MAME".

Preschool teacher visited and gave the dinosaur toy to Mame. The toy displayed on the top left on the screen can be changed.

Nazori visited three times today. He delivered two mails that contained a heart in each of them. During the time between the two mail deliveries, he announced Gotchi King's arrival. Gotchi King left an omelette meal item as a gift to Mame.

"Door" icon > "Away" selection: Mame visited his preschool several times today. He danced and sang with the nanny and played jump rope with kuchitamatchi and Hitodetchi during these visits. During the rope jumping game, I have to control Mame's jumping timing. When he tripped on the rope, he cried and returned home. But if it is his playmate tripped on the rope, he laughed and then returned home.

"Door" icon > "Shop" selection: Mame bought a pizza meal item for 3000P. The pizza was an consumable item (it disappered from the menu after being eaten), and it filled at leat three hungry hearts and probably some happy hearts. Nazori was the shop keeper. Nozari was really busy in this game.

The animations showing Mame playing toys or instruments listed on the top of the screen also appeared randomly (?) several times during the day.

5:00 PM - Mame beeped for attention. After I clicked on the A button (I guess any button will do though), he went for a bath.

The music styles for Mame has changed from Classical to Asian to Latin today.

I haven't had a chance to take him to the toilet yet. Need to watch that more closely tomorrow. Also, I'm not sure how to earn money yet. Playing games will only increase the skill points, but  no money was awarded.

Another finding of the Music Star is that the background pixels are not as dark as the V5C (V5 Celebrity) version, which is a plus.

9:00 AM - The music style changed to Jazz in the morning when I checked Mame's status.

9:30 AM - Nazori visited to announce Gotchi King's arrival. Gotchi King left 2000 points as a gift.

noon - Mame turned into a Kikitchi

The music school teacher visited and gave Mame a guitar

Mame visited school in the afternoon and met Hinotamatchi (David) and Ringotchi (Lisa). They united a band and I named the band "Cool".

After evolving into Kikitchi, eating the system built-in baby food wouldn't fill any hungry heart. Mame had to buy food from the shop all the time.

Mame bought a lot of things from the shop today. It included a sandwich, a kebab, a hamburger, a tooth brush, a makeup set (he can't use it though).

Surprisingly, the tooth brush was a consumable item too, meaning that it disappeared from the item list after being used by Mame. I really hoped that it was a reusable item so that I don't have to buy it (or even worse, wait for it to be available in the shop) every time when I want to see Mame brushing his teeth.

3:30 PM - Nazori visited to announce Gotchi King's arrival. Gotchi King gave Mame a cup of yogurt as a gift.

There were animations showing Mame playing his intrument and toy from time to time. When he started playing one of them, there were some tunes playing. By clicking the A button (or any button?) will stop the tune, but the animation would keep going for quite a while.

4:30 PM - Nazori delivered a mail with a heart in it.

evening - I neglected Mame as usual (in order to take care of my real kids!).

9:00 AM - Mame ate the Kebab that he got from the shop yesterday. It can fill 2 hungry hearts.

9:30 AM - Nazori visited to announce Gotchi King's arrival. Gotchi King left 2000 points as a gift.

morning - Mame ate an hamburger that he got from the shop yesterday when he had only 1 hungry heart filled. After eating it, the word "Great!" was displayed on the screen and all four hungry hearts were filled. I guess the hamburger can actually fill all four hungry hearts.

morning - I sent Mame to the music school twice in the morning. He met his band members and they went to the class and played game.

morning - Mame went to the shop. He bought fries, milk, and chocolate bar. There was an Banquet item for sale, but it cost 1200000 points (did I get all the 0s right?). Mame didn't have enough money to buy it. I also tried to buy the milk twice just to see what would happen in the menu. The result was that the milk displayed twice in the snack menu. It's very different than Entama. In Entama, when you bought a food item, it was usually sold in a bundle of three, and it only took one entry in the menu with the available number of portions displayed at the corner of the screen. When all three portions were eaten, the item would then disappear from the menu.

I still haven't found a method to earn points for my tama. Playing the music games only increase the skill points, but not the real points that can be used to buy things.

morning - I noticed that I can now activate the Displine icon (I remember that I couldn't do that earlier. Or maybe I didn't try at all?), and selected Practice (Mame will play the instrument on the wall), Play (Mame will play the toy on the wall), Time Out and Praise (I haven't tried these two though). When selecting Practice or Play, the animations are the same as the one that showed automatically before.

10:30 AM - Nazori delivered a letter with a heart in it.

11:30 AM - Nazori came again to announce Gotchi King's arrival. Gotchi King gave Mame a lobster (meal item) as a gift!

afternoon - The music style changed to the Rock 'N' Roll. I noticed that even with the same music style (e.g. Latin Music), the icons appeared around the music style text are changing from time to time.

2:06 PM - I caught Mame doing the wiggle dance for the toilet. For the very first time that I was able to walk him to the restroom and have him sit on the toilet.

2:30 PM - Nazori came again (!) to announce Gotchi King's arrival. Gotchi King gave a hamburger to Mame as a gift.

4:30 PM - Mame ate the Lobster as a meal. It filled 3 hungry hearts.

4:30 PM - Nazori delivered a letter with poo in it. Mame looked angry, but the happy heart didn't get empty afterwards.

I learned from the instruction manual that when the tama is playing an instrument by itself, we should praise it. I've tried it and Mame got happy.

6:55 PM - Mame turned into a Gozarutchi

evening - Mame visited the music school and his band members turned into Kuromametchi and Sebiretchi respectively. They then attended an audition, but one of the judges gave an "X", so they didn't pass.

I neglected Mame for the rest of the evening as usual. >_<

9:00 AM - Feed Mame the hamburger as breakfast, but it only filled two hungry hearts. I guess that the number of hungry hearts that a food can fill depends on the character.

9:00 AM - Feed Mame the yogurt snack item and it filled all four empty happy hearts.

morning - Use the "Away" function and now Mame can visit several different places. No more schools. Mame could earn money by playing the cake game at the bakery.

9:30 AM - Nazori visited to announce Gotchi King's arrival. The king left a beef bowl as a gift.

morning - used the "Away" function to visit the veggie shop and play the veggie matching game. Mame could earn money from the game as well.

morning - Mame went to the music studio to practice with his band members several times.

12:30 PM - Nazori visited to announce Gotchi King's arrival again. The king gave a cup of sundae as a gift.

noon - Mame ate the beef bowl for lunch. It filled three hungry hearts.

noon - I noticed that when switching to the time screen, it's now showing the Star Ranking (999th) and the Tama Fans (5064).

afternoon - I noticed that the music style was changed to R&B.

2:20 PM - Mame's band got another audition, but one of the judges still gave an "X" for their performance.

2:30 PM - Nazori delivered a mail with poo in it.

afternoon - Mame bought a couple of things from the shop: Pizza slice, heart-shaped chocolate and a time box. He played with the time box the smoke coming from the box changed him to an oldie.

3:30 PM - Mame had a slice of Pizza and it filled 3 hungry hearts.

3:30 PM - Nazori delivered a mail with poo in it again! >_<

4:30 PM - Nazori delivered a mail with poo in it AGAIN! He really disliked Mame today.

afternoon - Mame's stress level reached 99. He refused praise and play. I had to give him some snacks to lower his stress level to the 80s, and then played with him to lower his stress level further. He didn't take my praise though. He might do after the stress level was reduced more.

5:00 PM - The music notes icon is lit and Mame called for attention. By clicking the music notes icon, Mame went out to meet his band members and they had a performance. Nazori showed at the end of the concert, but he didn't give the band anything.

Mame's stress level went down further after the performance, but his skill points had no change.

I noticed that by playing the music games, Mame's stress level can be lowered as much as 14 units.

The music style changed to Latin Music.

early evening - The music style changed back to R&B.

5:40 PM - Mame went to the shop to buy a piece of pizza and ate it as his dinner.

7:25 PM - Another audition was held for the band. They still didn't pass it. :(

7:30 PM - Mame beeped for attention. I pressed the A button (I guess any button will do), and he went to the bath.

9:15 PM - Mame went to the bed and beeped for attention. I press the A button (again, probably any button will do) and the light was turned off.

night - adjusted the time a little bit to wake up Mame so that I can try the code generator website. It worked great!

morning - Mame visited the shop to buy two portions of cereals as his breakfast. He also purchased a wig and a Hip Hop CD.

9:30 AM - Nazori came to announce Gotchi King's arrival. The king gave a Rock CD as a gift.

9:40 AM - I sent Mame to the music studio to practice with the band members. It was the first time that I saw them smiling after practicing. During the previous practices, they always looked tired/neutral after practicing. So it probably meant that they could pass the audition next time! :)

9:44 AM - I sent Mame to practice with the band members again and they still looked happy after that!

11:30 AM - Nazori delivered a letter with a heart in it. 

noon - Mame worked hard in the veggie shop to earn money to buy his lunch.

noon - Mame bought the teriyaki meal item from the shop as his lunch. It filled 2 hungry hearts.

12:30 PM - Nazori announced Gotchi King's arrival. The king gave a piece of fried chicken (it looked like flower though XD) as a gift.

1:30 PM - Nazori announced Gotchi King's arrival. The king gave another rock CD as a gift.

Mame and his band members practiced several times today. They didn't always get the smiling faces after each practice though.

2:20 PM - Mame's band attended another audition, but they failed again! :( It's always the judge on the right who gave them the "X".

2:25 PM - Mame ate the fried chicken as a meal. It only filled one heart.

3:00 PM - Mame went to the veggie shop to work and earn 600 points. He then went to the shop to buy a corn dog and a corn.

afternoon - I noticed that the music style changed to Rock 'N' Roll. It's probably due to the fact that I changed the band member's musical instrument around noon time today.

3:30 PM - Nazori delivered a mail with a heart in it.

4:15 PM - The band attended another audition, but still no luck. :(

afternoon - Adjust the time to one minute before the audition time (2:15 PM, 4:15 PM, 7:15 PM) to cheat to take more auditions. However, each audition still failed with a "O - O - X" result. 真的很想把這台塔麻可吉扔到垃圾桶! 讓我的樂隊通過測試有那麼難嗎?

5:15 PM - The band went out for a performance show. At the end of the performance, the backs of more characters showed up. It probably meant that the crowd who stopped to view their performance was growing.

Long story short. Mame left me a Bye-Bye letter and went back to Tama planet.

Now here is the long story: I neglected Mame in the morning. I heard his complain beep around 10:00 AM this morning. I thought he beeped for food since he didn't have enough money to buy food last night and I didn't have time to have him work in the veggie or bakery shop to earn points to buy food. When I checked his status, I noticed that he had an angry face and I can't access any of the icon. I kept trying to press any button consecutively, but nothing worked. After about an hour, I heard some tune playing, and when I went to check the screen, I saw the Bye-Bye letter from Mame. If he could stay a little longer till tonight, he would be old enough to get married. Ah! I so wanted to see their life after marriage so that I could decide if I should invest on a Tama-Go (The couple even have honey moon on Tama-Go!). Anyway, my initial goal set to record the life of three generations in this log was forced to be stopped. I will start a new log when I start hatch another egg on this tama.
